“For this child, I have prayed…”

“For this child, I have prayed and The Lord has granted the desires of my heart.” 1 Samuel 1:27

I keep this sign in the top of my linen closet.  It is displayed so I can see it every day. I got it at Frank’s baby shower in Mississippi from Tracey Cain Liles.  This sign hung on the hospital room door when both boys were born. It hung on their nursery door. When Mitchie was diagnosed, I took it to the hospital and hung it on the door to our room for the 184 nights we spent there.

I love the meaning of this little sign. I enjoy having special things like this that remind me of a happy part of all the pain.
